About the Artist
Vogl is an American and British artist whose international practice centres on printmaking and public art. She creates participatory “social sculptures,” inviting communities to share personal data that is transformed into colourful, large-scale installations exploring what we share as humans and what makes us distinct.
She holds a BA from Oberlin College and an MFA from University College London’s Slade School of Art. Her work has been commissioned by Tate, ITV, Facebook, and others, and exhibited at the Royal Academy of Arts and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. She has completed international residencies and won the Aesthetica Art Prize (2011), and her public art has been recognised by Americans for the Arts.
Vogl is currently a Lecturer in BA Fine Art at Winchester School of Art, part of University of Southampton.
